24th week

Can you see my fingers? Dr Chan says my fingers are long and approximately 2 cm in length. I am currently about 600g in weight and Mummy is shocked to know that she has increase 9kg of weight since her initial weight. Gosh!

Oh yes, at weeks 21, i am beginning to exercise within Mummy's tummy. I started off with some simple stretching of arms and legs and my silly Mummy didn't know it was me until i gave her a strong kick one day. Thereafter, Daddy and Mummy have been monitoring my routine and asking me to kick and punch to make sure i am alright.Sometime i ignored their calls and pretend to be asleep as i am simply too tired to move.

My new car... Italian just like dad's

Last weekend, my parents went visiting stores in search for a pram. They went to the Baby Hypermart, Baby Kingdom (Kaki Bukit) and subsequently OG(Orchard) after reading a forum posting about OG having a 20% discount on baby prams on brands like Peg Perego, Quinny and Baby Ace that Sunday. Out of anxiety, they quickly went down to look at the models on sale.
In the midst of the excitement, they made a reservation on a baby ace pram priced at $888(With the discount, the price is @ $668).

Baby Ace
-----------
Pros: Seat bucket is reversible, Comes with infant bassinet, suitable for beach and parks ride due to 2 large hind wheels. It somehow looks or tries to mimic the Quinny Buzz but with a cheaper price tag. It has 4 wheels and 3 level of recline position. Able to accommodate maxi cosi car seat by removing the original seat bucket.

Cons: In compact mode, it is huge and heavy compared to umbrella strollers such as the maclaren and peg perego. The seating posture is somehow fixed. In full horizontal recline position, the legs of the toddler seems to be raised awkwardly upwards, the free bassinet is also too big. Difficult to transport if cars is not available.

Having doubt on the deal. They decide lookup the price at Baby Hypermart(distributer for peg perego, quinny, baby ace, etc) that very Sunday of the sale before closing the deal at OG. *Gosh! A check at hypermart indicate that both Baby ace and Quinny Buzz are sold at $888. So they were sure deal was a genuine bargain.

However, they went to OG(Albert Park) to check if the models there are the same as the one in OG(Orchard) and realise that there are more and much newer model available.

After much consideration, Daddy and Mummy decide to purchase the Peg Perego Pliko P3 Classico @ $%558.40 (U.P $698). Intially, they got the Moka colour p3 then later they went to change for the red as the moka's cup holder and pram label seems to indicate that the pram is actually a 2007 model instead of the 2008 model which OG claims. It may be some form of misunderstanding or oversight but to be on the safe side, they changed it. I'm not a fussy baby you know. I love everything my mummy and daddy give me and they have spent a lot of time and money searching for the best stuff for me.

Peg Perego Pliko P3 Classico
--------------------------------
Pros: Compacts for travel on public transport, Full almost flat seat decline(Toddler can sleep flat in the pram at any time), 3 level of inclination, Full suspension on all 4 wheels, Large sun shield cover(180deg), Free storage basket and cup holder, Smooth seat fabric.. Side cushion protection just like a bucket car seat. Older kids can piggy back a ride on the pram, able to hang bags and purchases while shopping.

Cons:Seat bucket not reversible, cannot accommodate maxi cosi car seat, does not come with rain cover, car seat needs to sit on top of original pram bucket.

Not forgetting their initial reservation, they went to OG(Orchard) to cancel the baby ace reservation.

Baby new clothes

Look what Mummy got me after visiting the gynea today. My first set of clothes!!! So exciting!! Cant wait to try it on when i am out. Mummy specially bought it for me and its pink!!!! In addition, Mummy make sure that all the clothes are 100% cotton so that i will not feel warm wearing it. This is just the start of the shopping spree. Will updates on her new purchase as we go along :P

Its a GIRL!!!

Finally, its confirm. I am a girl and this visit Dr Chan emphasize that i have a long foot and we will be monitoring me via my estimated weight as Mummy and i have gone through half the pregnancy process. I am now about 300grams.

Here's a glance at how i look right now. Dr Chan says "The baby's nose looks like Mummy's"... Is it true???

Today was the details scan session so there are quite a number of picture to share.
This is one that shows my slender limbs.*blink blink* Nice long legs and hands right?
And also a finger counting session to confirm i got all my ten fingers in place. Can you see it?

Lastly, a summary of how my current vital statistic as compared to the average babies. I seem to be taller and on the higher end of the average tier. Not sure if its good or bad but Mummy was sure happy to know that i am healthy and not too big size. Phiss... Mummy is very worried that i will grow so big that it is difficult for her to give birth when the time comes.

Oh yes, today my parents signed and paid a $800 bucks gynea package with Dr Chan. It sure is expensive but for me, daddy says its ok. My Daddy really dotes me a lot!!! Love u too Daddy, Muack!!!

16th week

hi hi! Its me again. I am now a 4 months old foetus. My spine is nicely formed and i am tall(106mm - curl) belonging to the higher tier in the ultrasound chart so my parents have buy 3-6 month clothing for me. During the scan, Dr Chan saw my big toes and pointed it to my parents. Mummy think i got that from daddy wahahha.

Today, i was all curled up facing downward with my legs crossed so my gender is still unknown. But Dr Chan guess that i am 70% girl girl. This kept my parent wondering how she arrive in that. Anyway, i will be going for a detailed scan next month. By then, i guess my gender will no longer be a secret... so shy... embarrassing u know...

Oh ya, Dr Chan advise mummy to eat more red meat n dark green vegetable cos her blood range for haemoglobin just pass nia. If fail mean "ping2 xue3". The reading will drop when i grow bigger and getting nutrients from mummy next time.

Pills for Mummy

Mummy had been taking folic acid daily since her 4th week of pregnancy. At 6th week, she was given samples of Neurogain fish oil to try. Dr Chan warned about complains of fishy burp after consuming the capsule and a nurse advice her to refrigerate the fish oil to reduce the fishy smell. Mummy did all and tried the capsule on the 11th week as advise. Fortunately, there was no fishy burps. Think is because mummy don't know how to burp for a start. Thats why.

Now in her second trimester, Dr Chan prescribe calcium lactate and pramilets(multivitamins) and more fish oil. Nurse says mummy have to take both fish oil and calcium pills till end of breastfeeding so that there is sufficient milk or nutrient for me.

Today, was the first day of many pills and capsule course. Mummy need to take one fish oil capsule, 2 calcium pill and 1 multivitamin pill. She also realize the size of the newly bought fish oil capsule is larger than the sample she took last time and harder to swallow. Guess she has no choice but to drink more water.
