1st month Immunisation

Mummy brought me to the polyclinic yesterday for the 2nd Hep-B injection@1 month.
We reached at around 11.50am and was told to return at 1.30pm. When we returned, another lady told Mummy that babies have priority to see the doctor. Within the next min, our Q-number was called. We registered and went to the waiting area outside the nurse room.

Our turn came, Mummy was briefed by the staff nurse on the follow-up and immunization package to be decided@3 month. 3 options were available mainly the normal free package+Hep B($20), 5in1 injection package and the 6in1 injection package. The 5in1 and 6in1 package are quite similar except the latter have one visit less @ 6 month and cost slighty more. Both packages includes the 3rd dose HepB and Hib injection while the standard package don't.

Now here comes the actual injection, the staff nurse tried to wake me up but i am just too sleepy to adhere. In the end, she injected my right tight while i was asleep. The needle was 4-5cm long and you could imagine the pain i took. My face turned entirely red, tears gathering in my eyes and i let out a loud cry. Mummy was feeling the pinch too, she was making the 'sssssss' sound unknowingly during the injection.

Immediately after the needle was withdrawn, Mummy held me tightly to sooth me. What an experience and there's few more to come. The next will be when i am 3 months old.
